Meet The Family
We're the family behind Haru Birmans
Haru Birmans is Pearl's personal hobby and is kindly supported by Pearl's husband, Mitchell, their friendly moggie, Hermes, and their enthusiastic border collie, Artemis.
Luna is Haru Birman's first breeding Queen. She was selected for her strong, healthy line, the caring household environment she was born into, and her confident but gentle personality. She is well loved by her two-legged and four-legged family members alike. |
The OriginBreed History
Also known as the 'Sacred Cat of Burma', Birmans are often claimed to have originated as the companions of temple priests.
The Birman breed was founded in France in the 1920s and first set paws in Australia in 1967 when Mrs Judith Starkey of Sydney imported 'Grand Champion Stacpoly Kharma' and 'Praha Shigatse'. |
The CharacteristicsBreed Profile
Birman cats are known for being tolerant, gentle, and affectionate cats who love to be involved in daily life. They are wonderful playmates for respectful children, dogs, and other cats. They will often follow their family members from room to room and inquisitively watch or try to 'help' you with whatever you're doing.
